Travelling to us

We can help you find your way here whichever way you travel.

If you are arriving by car, we can give you instructions on how to get here. You will be able to park your car off the road in our large driveway which can be locked at night.

If you are arriving by air to Heathrow or Gatwick, we can help you with car transport or with train or Underground arrangements. Alternatively, you may want to make your own arrangements from Heathrow by Underground (click here for Underground information), train (click here for details of the Heathrow Express), bus (click here for Airbus details) or Gatwick express train (click here for Gatwick Express).

From Stansted Airport, take the train to Liverpool Street Station (click here for Stansted Express details) and from there take the Underground (see map below) or the 133 bus which takes you directly to us.

On ARRIVAL at the local tube station (Tooting Bec) or train station (Streatham Common) ring us and we will collect you with your baggage by car. This free car service is also provided on your DEPARTURE but is subject to drivers' availability and at your own risk.

Travelling to Central London

The house is situated in Streatham (click here for map) in a architecturally and historically preserved area in South West London (SW16) , about 15-25 minutes from the centre of London. For instance it takes 16 minutes by train to Victoria Station or about 20 minutes by Underground to Charing Cross. By car it would take 15-20 minutes to Sloane Square, Westminster or Harrods at Knightsbridge.

There are many options for travel (click here for London travel information) such as

Underground trains ("the Tube") run every few minutes from Tooting Bec Station on the Northern Line (it takes about 25 minutes to Oxford Circus). This will take you to the West End (via Charing Cross) or the City (via Bank) without changing. We are in Zone 3 so the one-day Travelcard for Zones 1-4 which enables you to travel on any public transport after 9.30am costs £4.10 (only 20p more than Zone 1-2 cards) - click here for Travelcard price information.

Trains (above ground) run every 10 minutes from Streatham Common or Streatham Hill stations for central London, Victoria (16 minutes travel time) or Waterloo. Alternatively, trains about every 15 minutes to Blackfriars/St Pauls (20 minutes travel time) or London Bridge (25 minutes travel time) leave from Streatham Station.

Frequent buses go direct without change to Chelsea, Sloane Square, Westminster, Oxford Street, and Liverpool Street mainline station (for Stansted Airport). These are a good way of seeing London but take longer than the Underground or trains (30-45 minutes depending on traffic) - click here for bus information.

By car if you are prepared to face the traffic and find parking in central London. It will normally take 15-20 minutes except during the rush hours.

REMEMBER YOU CAN LEAVE YOUR CAR IN THE DRIVE OF OUR HOUSE WHERE IT WILL BE OFF THE ROAD
